This is the official Woodstock ‘94 poster that features two birds instead of one, as it was in the first Woodstock. It has warm colors, friendly fonts and a very good design.
Live 8’s poster features an Africa-shaped guitar, which clearly communicates it’s message.
Now take a look at the Live Earth’s poster (at the bottom of this post) which is, in my opinion, nearly the worst design possible for a rock concert. It features an SOS Morse code and it’s “O” reminds me of a CD-ROM instead of a window to the clear sky.

Personally, I don’t like these kind of incomplete slogans. Make WHAT move? Make WHAT happen? This technique is widely used, like Nike’s “Just Do It”, but I prefer more sophisticated slogans.
In these ads, right footsteps are black and left footsteps are white. Why? Any ideas?
Except the girl in white, other models in these ads are not standing on two pieces of footstep-papers which I think it’s a mistake.

I’m really curious to know how Marcel-Paris or Diesel has come up with this brilliant idea. Every ad in this campaign contains thoughtful elements and it’s neatly designed.
Anyway, these ads are more fashion ads than a global warming awareness campaign (No, it’s not “global warNing”!).

The message written on the bottom of the ad in Chinese is: “Saving one’s life now, save your own later.” Of course, the message directly refers to what the black-man is doing with his cut-out friend, and the real guy in this photo is saving black-man’s life “later”!
Excellent design from a designer’s point of view so I give it 8.5/10 for Creativity and Intelligence.
But why should someone save his/her own life later? This Chinese ad clearly encourages something more than blood donation; something like “sacrifice” which I’m not sure if this is intentional, but I guess it is, because the ad is probably government-sponsored.
If you have any ideas about the ratings and the ad itself, please post your comments below.
